Full Thunder Moon in Capricorn

FULL MOON IN CAPRICORN ~ Wednesday, July 13, 2022 @ 11:38 am PST (2:38 pm EST)

I love the Full Moon in Capricorn ~ why?  Because I'm a Capricorn with a Moon in Cancer and it resonates deeply with my soul...and then again, it may be the Thunder Moon, I love a good shake up in my life.

I believe shake-ups during a Full Moon are times to let loose those parts of ourselves, or our lives, that we are ready to let go of. And, with the sun in Cancer, we can use the sweet feminine energy to connect with our emotions and with our bodies.

Capricorns are mountain climbers (maybe that is why I landed in Colorado!) and teach us that constancy bears fruit. A mountain is still, it is a place to create a still center amid changes. When we retreat to this place of stillness we can find a new perspective, one that helps us to create a firm foundation for new growth. The secret to all commitments lies in the way you begin. It is the energy you put behind your actions rather that the actions themselves.

Thunder on the other hand brings change, a spark of the new, shock or upheaval, It is the great awakener that can bring life to new growth by setting things in motion, creating decisive action and inspiring initiation.

When our outer world is shaken up, it is the best time to stay awake, to feel, to be aware of the quivers of the energy of change underway. Remember, you are only passing through this point in time for today, be true to yourself. In moments of change there is only truth, knowledge, and understanding; while regrets vanish along with the past to which they belong.

Gemstones that may call to you under this Full Moon are smokey quartz, garnet, turquoise, lapis lazuli, or onyx. Colors that may feel comforting are earth tones or deep blues. Essential oils to fill your space with are Vetiver, to ease the need for overworking and to connect with your emotional needs or Rosemary to support you in believing in yourself and seeing beyond any negativity.

This night, take time to move outside at the last light of the day and catch the first stars that grace the sky. Let them guide you on how to work with the energies under this strong, ground shaking Full Thunder Moon.
